How we use your information

We use the information we collect for purposes connected with providing and improving Mantika.

• ✓ To display the information you choose to share through your Mantika profile and QR code.
• ✓ To authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorized access.
• ✓ To understand how Mantika is being used and improve its features and user experience.
• ✓ To communicate with you about your account, service requests, security matters or important changes.
• ✓ To detect, prevent and address security issues, misuse, fraud or other harmful activity.

Your Mantika profile is meant to be shared

Mantika exists to help you share your identity with other people. Information that you deliberately add to your public profile may therefore be visible to anyone who accesses your Mantika profile through its QR code or profile link.

If you do not want a particular piece of information to be publicly visible, do not add it to the public profile or remove it from your profile where the relevant feature allows you to do so.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

We may share or provide access to information with service providers who help us operate Mantika, such as infrastructure, authentication, analytics, communication or payment service providers, where necessary to provide the service.

These providers are expected to handle information only for the purposes for which it is provided and in accordance with applicable requirements and their contractual obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Mantika, our users or others.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot promise absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by Mantika.

If we become aware of a security incident that requires notification under applicable law, we will take the steps required by that law.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Mantika and its features, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise remove it from active use, subject to applicable legal, security and operational requirements.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances of the processing, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to access, correction, updating and erasure.

Children's privacy

Mantika is intended for people who can lawfully use the service and provide consent where required. We do not knowingly design Mantika to collect personal information from children in circumstances where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances where it should not have been collected, please contact us so that we can review the situation.
